Data Deletion

Effective May 4, 2026. This page explains how to request deletion of your TaxFlow account and connected financial data.

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion from inside TaxFlow by opening Settings and choosing Delete account.

If you cannot access the app, email taxflowjack@gmail.com from the phone number or email context associated with your account and include that you are requesting TaxFlow account deletion.

What We Delete

Account deletion is designed to remove your TaxFlow account record, profile data, income entries, expense entries, receipt files, exports, notification tokens, accountant access grants, and other app records tied to your user ID.

If you connected financial accounts with Plaid, TaxFlow also attempts to disconnect Plaid Items and remove the encrypted Plaid access tokens stored on the server.

Accountant, CPA, or advisor access you granted through TaxFlow is revoked as part of account deletion.

What May Be Retained

Some limited records may remain for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or backup purposes where allowed or required by law.

Backups and provider logs may age out on the retention schedule of the infrastructure provider. These records are not used to operate an active TaxFlow account after deletion is completed.

Plaid may retain information under its own policies and user controls. You can also use Plaid Portal where available to manage Plaid connections and data directly with Plaid.

Timing

In-app deletion begins immediately after the request is confirmed and authenticated.

Email deletion requests are reviewed manually. We may need to verify the request before acting to protect user financial data.
